Omega Metals

HISTORY

Our History

Beginning in the high school carpentry program in the early 70’s, Mark Green realized construction was something that came naturally to him. After successfully building a home as part of his education, Mark took a job hanging rain gutter. From this starting point, Mark continued to expand his building capabilities and knowledge of the construction industry.

Throughout the 80’s Mark grew his own business and built relationships in the Ogden and Salt Lake valleys. Because of the reputation Mark had earned for workmanship and integrity, he was offered the opportunity to work on a large military installation project. The ability to successfully handle this large-scale contract was the beginning of Mark’s expanding business enterprises.
With the new challenges of work spread across the country, Mark and his partner had different visions of how to tackle the growing market. In order to achieve the goals he envisioned, Mark decided to part ways with his former partner. Mark started Omega Metals in 1999.

Omega Metals was now awarded contracts that required a much larger work force. Mark relied on many local contractors in Utah to travel, ensuring that projects were done on schedule. One local company that was key to this growth and success was Macfarlane Siding.

Todd Macfarlane’s superior reputation with high-end home builders in Ogden and his commitment to the massive out-of-state jobs with Omega created a new dilemma for Todd, and where he thought his company could be most successful. Macfarlane Siding became such an integral part of Omega Metals that it made business sense for Omega Metals and Macfarlane Siding to join forces in 2005.
Today Omega Metals is a financially fit company that has created a business model of leadership and success. We are well positioned and diversified enough to tackle the jobs of today, and ready for the challenges of tomorrow.
